Maria Kaffes

I am a senior at Syracuse University studying Public Relations with a minors in sport management and creative writing. I fell in love with Public Relations when I realized I could touch multiple facets of the sports industry, whether that's player relations, media relations or fan relations. I am currently serving as the Communications Director for the Syracuse Men's ACHA Hockey Team while still holding the title of Team Photographer, and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I curate stories through press releases, photography and social media content. However, none of this could have been done without my Newhouse education, which is what this portfolio showcases.
